I’ve been battling with these tiny rash like things on my face (acne?) for close to two months now.
Its
quite unusual seeing as I’ve always had perfect clear skin. No
exaggerations. I’ve had people come up to me to ask what my skin care
routine was only to be disappointed when I mention that I have none.
Yes, not even body cream. Strange? I just never got into the habit of it
Although sometimes when I read other bloggers skin care routine, i get a bit tempted to go get an
exfoliator and spf moisturizer but somehow i never go through with it.
Look where that has got me now huh? I honestly for the life of me can’t point out what exactly could be causing this “adult acne”. Allergy?
i haven’t used anything new. Stress? I’ve had a lot of that recently but still my weekends are quite
chilled. Makeup? i don’t use foundation and all that.
I tried to adopt the “chill for it to clear” method but I don’t see no changes and its beginning to bother me, I must confess.
I’m so scared of using just any product on my face so I’ve tried steaming my face and i started using shea butter recently.
I know these pictures don’t make it seem like i have anything to complain about but if you look a little bit closely, you’ll be able to make out the tiny rashes everywhere. I have them on my chest too and honestly i’m not sure which is more disconcerting.
Okay okay, it really isn’t too bad as compared to some others i see everyday but its disturbing nonetheless and the fact that its taking forever to regress. haa
I read about tea tree oil on thatigbochick’s blog and it sounded quite convincing plus I’m all for natural skin care products. Anyone know anything about that or where i can get it? or any other idea you think might help? Please share below!

P.S – I know i promised you my outfit post from the mente de moda event but have you ever just looked at pictures you were happy about with a bit more scrutiny and realized that they all stink? that’s my story guys but I’m definitely going to re-wear the outfit and take better pictures.
Here's what has helped me: cleanse my face twice a day, I NEVER sleep with any makeup on, change pillowcase once a week, exfoliate once a week, moisturize everyday, drink lotss of water. I think all you need to do is build an actual regime. It may sound a little tedious but it's totally worth better skin!
I'm thinking of getting that ajali sugar scrub exfoliator that sisiyemmie and thatigbochick reviewed. At least i could start with that and shea butter as moisturizer. I'm guilty of the pillowcase thing x_x but that will change now. Thank you so much ibukun.
I recently had a lot of very disturbing rashes on the side of my face even worse than yours, mine was as a result of stress though. I tried different things I eventually had to result to natural remedies (Shea butter) and Prayers and my skin is all clear now 🙂
Also try changing your bedding every week
Prayers! lool. I think mine might be stress too cos i really cant figure out the source. I"ll keep using the shea butter and start praying .lol The bedding thing has been duly noted. Thank you kunmi
Your skin is flawless though! Different strokes for different folks on skin products. But you can't go wrong with natural oils e.g the tree you mentioned. The more organic the blend the better

You need to see it up close. Its not flawless anymore :(. I just don't know where to buy it from
You know more about medicine than I ever will. I had outbreaks on my face and chest and it turned out to eczema, but yours does look like acne. If it persists you should consult with a dermatologist. I've always admired your skin! Hope you find something that works!
God Bless ya, Sis and Be Well Soon! =D
Thank you Cheri . I hope it all clears out soon and i wont have to resort to a dermatologist
Lol Cassie….I'd be the wrongest person to suggest anything. I'm just here to give you support. #Girlswithacneunite. I shall keep checking for more solutions to our "issue". xx
*Sigh* If someone had ever insinuated in the past that i"ll one day be grouped under a tag lik #Girlswithacneunite, i wouldave told them to take their badbelle and go but look at me now 🙁
Drinking lots of water really helps, might seem like a small thing, but you'll be amazed at d results. I'm about to try a natural remedy for my face…if it works out, i'll recommend it for you.
I've started my water therapy already self! Please share with me when you are done or write a review in your blog. I"ll be looking out for it. Thank you!
Guess we are both facing same thing…i've decided to let my face be but whenever i touch my face or look@myself in the mirror, i be like "why all these?". i'm not a fan of face cleanser and blabla… i've been going through atlot of stress lately but i still can't conclude on that. Cassie let's chilax, help is on the way#smiles
Yes! you totally get me! Same here, most times i forget about it but then i look into a mirror or touch my face and start worrying. I'm also not a fan of all that, i know when i start using them, i might get too used to it and probably have a break out if i stop. I"ll chill for now, increase my water intake, change beddings weekly and continue with my shea butter and see how it goes
try Lime, it'll work like Magic
The Beautiful eagle's Blog
I tried that once some time ago but not for this issue, i didnt really notice any change but that's probably because i wasnt patient enough
Your skin looks perfect though,…u cud just amp your water intake and take lots of fruits and veggies.

I keep hearing its "not that bad" but i still want my perfect clear skin back 🙁
That's what i'll do. Thank you franka
I bought the tea tree oil from The body shop over here in the UK. So far haven't seen much change but when applied onto the face u can feel it penetrating through.
Moilesedi.blogspot.co.uk
Oh really! I guess it needs a bit more time, most of these things do sadly and most of us arent exactly the patient type. Thanks for the little review tsepo, i'm still on the look out for where to get it here in nigeria
You are soo real…that's what I like about this your blog
aww cilverly! Thank you so much girl, i truly take comments like this to heart
Sounds like hormones to me. Drink lots of water and get even more rest and make sure you don't allow school stress or any kind of stress get you out of routine. Also did u change ur diet or eating pattern? As u've always had clear skin; you'll get it back soon enough
Thank you for the positivity in that last statement. It really just made me feel a bit relaxed. I don't think im eating anything new but i'll definitely amp up my water intake now
Always disinfect ur water with dettol before using it to bath or wash ur face.
Also try aloe vera gel or juice from the plant. Great for skin irritations, healing and overall skin health. And as the ladies said, up your water intake.
My acne is so bad, and the medication is acting like a lightening cream.
Exactly what i hate about these medications, they end up lightening your skin. meh
Sorry about that, i hope some of the advice i've been given will be helpful to you too
Oh wow! You have amazing skin. I'm jealous! I have extremely sensitive skin, and every little thing causes me to break out. And if using nothing has worked for you all this time, girl I'd say you stick to nothing. A cousin of mine who had amazing skin and used nothing, decided to start exfoliating and all, and then it started.
If the acne/rash gets bothersome, I suggest you see a dermatologist and do not self medicate. Your skin still looks amazing anyways!
xo. D.
I know I am sooo late, but it is barely noticeable. Your skin is near enough flawless!!
