Since the pandemic hit, I’ve frequented more co-working spaces in lagos than I ever have. But I’m not complaining. There’s just something about being in a workspace, drinking a smoothie, with my laptop, or a book in front of me that makes me feel like I have my life together. So when one of my favorite co-working spaces in Lagos: Cafe One by Sterling invited me for the launch of their new space, I knew I was going to make that journey down.

I am a sucker for innovation, community and growth stories, and these are things that Cafe One embodies. A few years ago, I was at the opening of the Cafe One co-working space at the Lennox mall in Lekki, and just when I thought that was it from the brand, they expanded!
Cafe one has previously ticked all my boxes for a great workspace: Functionality, aesthetics, a book corner (MY ABSOLUTE FAVE), fast WiFi, and a good coffee shop, so I was pretty excited to see what the new space had to offer. Well, color me pleased!
The new Cafe One co-working space is on the first floor of the Atlantic mall in Chevron Drive, Lekki. It opens from Monday to Saturday, and just like their previous space, it offers the best ambiance to get work done.
One of my favorite things about Cafe One is that it isn’t just a co-working space but a digital experience and a lifestyle. They regularly host events that foster community and create new opportunities: book readings, open mics, chess games, fitness parties, workshops, etc. You can also carry out banking services without having to step out of the space, or pop in to read a book while you wait out traffic after work.
