High heeled shoes have never really been my thing. I didn’t learn to walk in them till my second or third year in the university whilst trying to get into the modeling industry.
It was bad enough that I was learning this thing that was so foreign to me, but I also had to learn to cat-walk in it. To walk with grace in it; head held high, arms swinging slightly, one foot in front of the other.
To put it lightly, it was a mini traumatic experience.
I still remember my catwalk instructor’s voice. How it was always laced with frustration, egging me on to take longer strides.
I am not certain if this is where my disdain for stiletto heels stemmed from, or if it was from constantly hearing people exclaim about a girl my height wearing heels, but I’ve never been a fan of high heels.

Fast forward a few years down the line and I’ve actually taken a liking to heels. Low block heels to be specific, and If I’m being honest, I’m actually slightly obsessed with them.
It started as a search for functional, and comfortable heeled shoes for work, and then I realized that I just could not get enough. Block heels are my current Achilles heels. Pun intended.
I especially love low block heeled sling backs. I think that it doesn’t get any more classic than slingback heels – they are functional, yet still super stylish. What more could I ask for?

Regardless of my dislike for heeled shoes, I can’t deny that a little elevation is a good confidence booster. Low block heels are office friendly, so if you work a 9 – 5 and need comfortable work shoes that still give you that slight elevation, this is one way to go.

Babe you are consistent as hell, Decided to check up on your blog and its amazing you drop content on a regular.
Thank you Gerald! I can be way more consistent than I am now and this encouraging comment has gingered me 😂 ❤
I used to absolutely hate blog heels when I was younger. I grouped them as something unfashionable old women wore. LooL. I was the stiletto girl, the higher the better. I might hurt myself but it was a welcomed hurt.
Fast forward a couple years and one surgery later, I’m actually starting to love block heels and seeing how beautifully you wear them is just the right ginger I need. LooL

I’m actually into all (heels, flats and sneakers). At work I’m in heels, everywhere else depends on my mood. I do agree with this statement that you made though that ‘a little elevation is a good confidence booster”
