Look who finally made up her mind and got her hair braided?
I’ve been meaning to get braids for a while now but I kept on procastinating it. My final push came while on my way out to school one fine afternoon, I caught a glimpse of myself in a car mirror and my hair wasn’t working AT ALL! I looked tired and beat up, so I put my school (i actually didnt have any class) on hold and called the hair dresser and the rest is history.
This is my first time doing senegalese twists ( i just found out thats what this particular type of twist is called, the other types are the marley and havana twist), I usually stick to reddish brown box braids but change never hurts right?
I haven’t really been styling it, just either packing it all up in a bun or letting in down. Letting my hair out of a weave made me realize that i have dandruff :(. Please guys, what can i do about this because shampooing and washing didn’t do the job.

Also do you have any styling suggestions for me or you’ve written a post on it? Please leave me your comments and your links. Thank You!
I hope you all have a great weekend!

Your twists are lovely.
Sorry about the dandruff. I've heard various tips like massaging your scalp with lime juice and coconut oil and rinsing out.
Shampoo may be too harsh so maybe just cowash for now.
Acv rinse after cowashing is said to be very effective.
A few drops of peppermint oil in your favourite oil for your hair and scalp.
Some ayurvedic treatments are also believed to do the job like methi and neem. Replacing shampoo with shikakai too.
Hope this helps!

Lovely hair Cassie…you can try a mixture of tea tree oil, peppermint oil and coconut oil. It's also very refreshing for the scalp and will prevent itchiness. You can read up on their individual benefits to get more info.
Love you braids and the look great on you

Deep condition your hair a lot! Also use Head and Shoulders shampoo. It worked for my brother.
Lovely twists Cassie. makes me want to braid :-D. As per the dandruff, just deep condition/steam adding peppermint oil and olive oil with your hair pudding. Do it as often as you can and it should reduce significantly.
