My New Home Office Space.
I’ve been working from home for the better part of the last two months and it has inspired a few creative decisions. One of which was my decision to stop making excuses and put together a content and home office space for myself.
I was over complaining about how there is very little space for me at home to actually move around and create content, so I decided to take matters into my hands and see if I can set up a mini studio/ home office in a small space.

Hack – If you don’t have enough space at home, you can carve out a small portion of your house . You don’t need a whole room or a big space.
In my case, I got the dining section (we weren’t using it and it was becoming a mess anyways) to redo to my taste. I didn’t exactly have a mood board of what I wanted, but I knew that it had to be a minimal space with white walls for extra light, a lot of art works, a work space (obviously), and a blank canvas that I can setup/ switch up for shoots whenever I wanted.
Although it is in no way done, but I’m super excited about it already and thought to share some of the progress I’ve made so far.
The first step for me was painting the walls white. This was the only thing I was sure about doing at some point, so I just got started with that. The previous color was a mix of orange and peach, I have no idea what inspired that but I’m glad that era is over.
l wanted wooden flooring and this brown carpet was the closest I could get to a budget friendly option. I got it at one of the shops along the itire-ojuelegba road, and absolutely love it.
Setting up the work space was a bit easy because I already had a dining table that was the right size. I changed the table top to white wood, added a few shelves, some books and art works.
For the “studio bit” of it, I basically left a good stretch of wall/space where I can shoot against. Currently, this wall space is occupied by some art prints, but it can sport a mirror tomorrow, a cloth rack for style videos, a new lick of paint. The possibilities seem endless and exciting.

There’s still a lot of work to be done – I haven’t gotten curtains, the couch needs to be changed, I’m still trying to figure out the type of prints I want for my gallery wall, and a few extra decor bits and bobs.
I considered consulting with an interior designer because I didn’t trust myself that much, so putting this together has helped to boost my confidence.
Hopefully, I’ll be done in good time and will be back to share an update of the final look.

I am also currently working on my room right now and this is very helpful, also I already know i want it to be all white ,
Nice space, can’t wait for a finished picture.
I love it 😍😍. I can’t wait to complete my house too!
I really love what you did to the space and I’m glad you blogged about the process. Love the white walls and the wooden carpet, it looks so realistic. If you’re comfortable sharing pricing, that would be helpful as well. These investments we make as content creators must pay off!

I have been planning to revamp my room and workspace for a while now and this right here is an absolute inspiration and the best thing about this is the fact that I also have the same colour in mind! White! White makes a space look really good and that rug! My God, that rug is stunning. I am so glad there is a rug that looks like wooden floor. Saves time and money. You might want to give us a rundown of your expenses for the creation of this space, pleaseeee.
