This quarantine period brought with it a bit of laxity on my end (I talked more about this here). I had a ton of things to do but I just couldn’t hack being as productive as I knew I could be.
Now, I’ll be honest here and state that I’m not exactly the most hardworking person out there. Because of this, I like to rely on systems and techniques to help me stay productive and get through my to do lists. I’m all about simplifying my life and any process that will make it easier to be more productive is what I’m after.

One of my productivity hacks is writing my daily/weekly to do lists down with good ol pen and paper. While that has worked/and continues to work for me, however lately I’ve found a new system that has simplified my process further especially with regards to staying creative this quarantine period.
I call it the Create – Learn – Do System and here’s what it entails.
Before writing out my to do list, I take stock of all the things I should do for the week and file them under either of these three categories – Create, Learn, and Do.
Contents to create like doing a shoot for a blog, video content for instagram, or just simply recreating an idea from pinterest gets filed under “Create”.
Things like searching for/learning something online gets filed under “learn”. I’m currently learning french, and also looking to take writing classes, and complete a digital marketing course. Everything else goes under “Do”
After doing this, I break them down into bits and put these bits into my daily to-do lists page of my planner allocating days for each task. This technique helps me a lot, because it not only makes it easy to see at a glance the things I should get done, but it also puts at the forefront of my mind the fact that I should have at least one thing to create and learn in a week, alongside the other things I have to get done.

Click To TweetAnother thing that helps me on days I can’t find the motivation to get stuff done is asking myself what “some wins” would look like for me that day. More often than not, one of the wins would usually involve ticking something off my to-do list.
Let me know if you find this helpful, and if it’s something you’ll implement.

Sure going to implement “Create , learn and do “, I usually write on my small note ( to do book) things I have to do for the week and divide them into the days of the week so I don’t get overwhelmed.
Great tip here.
I just list out things to do for the day and I make a mental note of if I achieve them or not.
Thank you.
