“There’s only so much fun you can have in Lagos”. If you’ve ever used that line before, I’m here to convince you otherwise.
I’ve never been the type for club raves or weekend owambes. My event hopping and Lagos social life phase ended a while back. Now, I’m more content spending my weekends brunching with friends or mapping out new adventures and places to conquer.
I love to explore so whether rolling out my mat for an outdoor movie experience, canoeing down the Epe mangrove, going back history lane at the Fela shrine, I’m always on the hunt for new experiences and alternative fun things to do in Lagos.
So when I heard that Rufus and Bee – A Games arcade finally opened up in Lagos, you bet it was on my “to check out” list. I was beyond excited. And even more so, when I was invited over to experience the space.

My Rufus And Bee Experience.
Over the weekend I decided to utilize the offer, dragged my friend Oge and together we made the trip down to Rufus and Bee (located on the first floor of the Twinwaters building at okunde Bluewaters scheme, off Remi Olowude street, Lekki 2nd roundabout)
I’d been there once but it was a quick stop and I didn’t get to really experience the place so I was excited about this visit.
Rufus and Bee is a fun house in every sense of the word. There’s the games arcade which is the major attraction but it also offers more for people to enjoy – a sports bar/restaurant where you can eat and watch football, and a bowling alley.
Walking in, I could already feel my inner child coming alive. There were loads of games that I got confused about where to start from.
My friend and I kept asking each other – which game next? Way too many options! Lol!
I had a really great time here! It was like reliving my childhood except that my childhood didn’t have these type of exciting games but it was the same feeling of being “care-free”. I definitely plan to revisit again.
I enjoyed a lot of the games we played but the basketball game was my fave (even though I kept missing the nets lol).
Cost + How It Works.
To access the games, you need to buy a buzz card which costs N1000 and then load it up with chips. The price for the chips ranges from N5000 for 55 chips to N30000 for 405 chips.
Each game usually consumes between 4 – 8 chips so you can do the maths on how much play you can get out of the chips you buy. After loading up your card, you’re good to go ahead and enjoy yourself.
P.S – The buzz card is also reusable so you don’t have to buy another when next you visit.
Some of the games comes with rewards – tickets that you can use to get a prize at their shopping center or can be reloaded into your buzz card for extra chips.
The Rufus And Bee Bowling Alley.
The last time I was at Rufus and Bee, the bowling alley was yet to be opened so it was a pleasant surprise to find that it was finally opened.
You can’t bowl with the chips in your buzz card, there’s a separate fee of N5,250 for 10 rounds. They provide you with bowling shoes/socks and there’s a comfortable seating area where you can lounge while you wait for your turn.

Rufus And Bee Sports Bar.
I really like that there’s also a restaurant here. It’s like they thought of everything to keep you within the building haha.
Although we didn’t have anything from the restaurant, we checked it out briefly for pictures and to see what the menu looked like.
I think the lowest thing on the menu is the pizza for N4000.
The Twinwaters Experience.
Before we made our way to the Rufus and bee floor, we were given a quick tour of the twinwaters building – I knew of the sea food restaurant (788 on the sea) but had absolutely no idea the building also housed a Chinese restaurant, an exclusive roof top lounge and an event space. All tastefully done and with great views of the ocean.
Honestly can’t wait to check out the Chinese restaurant, I was so impressed with the decor and ambience.
And of course I plan to visit Rufus and Bee again! Still hyped from beating my friend in the virtual car race lol
Have you been to Rufus and bee or any of the restaurants in the twinwaters building ? What was your experience like?

Sounds fun….where’s it located tho? And what’s their time period of business?
But I put the location there 👀
Thanks for bringing the “time of business” to my notification. Will edit tk add that in.
Located in lekki (address in the post), they are open Monday to Sunday
Environment looks cool….a bit up there is price tho…but it looks like fun and worth the cost?
Amazing! I definitely would plan a visit soon, hopefully, early in the new year. Hippy R&B. I need this kind of childish indulgence in my life sef. This my doctor work is too serious.
Thanks for this. I can cost plan too 😀

I’ve actually been to Rufus and Bee twice but only spied the Bowling alley on my second visit and sadly I was already on my way out then. I can’t wait to get another chance to go back and properly check out the alley.

I have not gone bowling in Lagos yet. Rufus and Bee sounds fun and affordable. Should check it out one of these days.
Your pictures popped! I was going to ask what camera you used till i saw it was a sony in one of the mirror shots.
I had fun here as well, my first time here was last month (March).
Initially I wasn’t too pleased being here because it looked like a kids zone (fantastic ambiance though), but the plot twisted the moment i got occupied with some of the games, my colleagues almost got upset because i kept saying “one more game, one more game abeg”. lol
I am even more appreciative for reviews like this ’cause I’m looking for a fun place to hang out this weekend and this has helped me. At least I know how much I’m looking to spend. Thanks, Cassie.
Asides your brilliant writing and narration. Your photography and modeling is top notch
What about hotel or Airbnb where one can lounge. Or do they have hotels inside also.
This is a question yeah
If we go as a group, is it a must every individual get a buzz card and load it up or can we just get like 2 then load it up?
If I want to visit with my mouth and I could like to play some arcade games and eat,how much should I budget
