Styling Co-ords.
By principle, I rarely ever say no to a co-ord two piece set that suits my style and budget. It’s one of the style rules I hold close to heart. I’m all for clothing items that can be restyled in multiple ways, and the versatility of styling co-ord two piece sets makes them a wardrobe treasure.
I got a co-ord set from Nigerian brand Rekana, and was immediately drawn to the top. There are few things I love more than statement sleeves. Sometimes it’s all the extra you need to jazz up an otherwise simple outfit.
I have worn this fit in quite a number of ways since I got it, but in this post I’ll be showing you three other ways I’ve styled this Rekana co-ord set. Fun fact – I haven’t actually worn any of these looks out but I definitely still plan to regardless lol.
Look One.
For a smart casual look, I initially styled the pants with a classic white shirt tucked smartly in and sneakers. But decided to spice it up a bit more, and make it “more cool” by turning up the bottom of the pants, tying the shirt and throwing on a denim jacket.
The white shirt is another super versatile piece that is a wardrobe must have, you can honestly throw it on anything and make it work. Absolutely love and need more white shirts.

Look Two.
The statement sleeves of the shirt is my favorite part of this co-ord two piece set, and it’s the part that I actually wear the most. For this look, I didn’t have to really do much because the sleeves did all the talking for me. I paired the shirt with a mini denim skirt (styled here previously) and gold block heels.

This is my favorite of all three looks, and I actually can’t wait to get to wear it out someday soon. I’ll call this an elevated casual, because without the heels and the dramatic effect of the sleeves, it could quite easily pass as “casual”. What do you think?
P.S – I shared a video of me styling these looks on my instagram – direct link right here!
Look Three.
Animal print overload? haha! Styling this co-ord two piece as a set together was actually the hardest for me. My style is a little more minimal, and I couldn’t quite shake off the feeling that this was a bit too much together.
This also affected the option of what to wear on my feet, because everything just didn’t seem or look right. I don’t 100 percent agree with my choice of shoes here, but it was the most suitable of the bunch that I tried.
