How To Wear : Styling The 80s Vintage High Waist Pants In Three Ways.

I’ve been meaning to share one of my current favorite clothing items – this pair of vintage high waist pants I was gifted with you guys. But I haven’t written a style post in so long that I fear I’m now a bit rusty. Rustiness be damned though, this pants definitely deserves a mention here on the blog.

Finding pants the right length and fit eludes me, so when I find one that ticks all my boxes, I get pretty excited and wear it with everything and in all the ways I can conceive of.

One of my favorite things about this vintage high waist pants is how versatile it is. I center most of my buying decisions around being able to wear whatever I’m buying multiple times, in multiple ways and for multiple occasions.

Today, I’m sharing three ways I’ve styled it in recent times.

1. Trendy.

My goal for this look was to achieve the perfect balance of comfort and “fashunz”, and I think it turned out right.

I threw on a plain white tee, my trusted old vintage waist coat and completed the look with the comfiest shoes ever – espadrilles.

2. Casual.

My espadrilles made a return for this look as well. It’s one of my favorite buy from last year and I don’t miss a chance to wear it out.

I wasn’t sure if this qualifies as “Casual” seeing as I actually wore it to work. What do you think?

I tried to keep things within the same color palette for this look, pairing it with a floral top, black espadrilles and sunglasses.

3. Formal

I want to say that this is my favorite look of the three, but I’ll be lying. It comes second to the first look and I loved it so much that I re-rocked it twice.

First time was to church and then the day after to work. I decided to go with contrasting prints for this look and combined a print shirt with my print block heels.
