90s Fashion Trend Inspiration
I’m a 90s kid through and through; I love my mom jeans, print shirts, oversized blazers… You name it, if it’s got a 90s fashion feel, you can definitely count me in.
90s fashion excites me. Growing up watching shows like the fresh prince of bel air and then re-watching it again as a teenager had a lot of influence on my personal style.
As part of the PR content for the 2019 Gtbank fashion weekend, I worked with a dope team of creatives to curate a 90s fashion themed video to show people fun, quirky and creative ways to style 90s fashion trends now.
Here's How To Nail The 90s Look Effortlessly! Click To TweetI love how fashion trends always come back in cool new ways and 90s trends are no different. From biker shorts, mom jeans, neon fashion, and pleated skirts, the video served as a sort of street style inspiration for the GTBank fashion weekend.

In keeping with that, I decided to also revisit the 90s myself too on day 2 of the 2019 GTBank fashion weekend. I picked up this navy blue vintage blazer from my mum’s closet and knew it’d be the perfect base to build my look from.
The plan was to pair it with blue mom jeans, bucket hat and white sneakers to give it that complete 90s look but decided to go with block heels and an afro instead.

My blogger boo turned friend Kuyet came down to Lagos for Fashion weekend and it was nice to have him around. He assisted me a bit with work which helped reduce my workload and of course, his company made it feel a little less like a job.
It was pretty nice to meet a lot of my online fam, so here’s a quick shout out to everyone that stopped by to say hi, give me a gift or just a hug. I truly appreciate yall.

Two years ago, I worked with GT Bank as an influencer and a model at the 2017 Gtbank fashion weekend and this year, I got to be part of the GTBank fashion weekend team.
I remember randomly mentioning that I’ll love to be a part of the team that puts the event together when I attended the first edition so the growth isn’t lost on me and I’m super thankful for the opportunity.

As part of the content team, I also worked with some of my colleagues on the 3rd edition of the Africa’s finest magazine – a free publication created by GTBank specially for the fashion weekend.
The 2019 GTBank Fashion weekend was definitely an experience, and there’s no denying that the bank knows how to put together a great show.
