My Blog Turned 6!
And the obligatory blog anniversary post sprinkled with a bit of nostalgia coming through in 3..2..1..
Ah, where do I start from? My Heartfelt gratitude? A speech on how I didn’t see this coming? Because you know, I really didn’t see this happening when I sat down on a sunny Monday afternoon (Jan-21-2013) six years ago to start this blog.
I didn’t see the love from you guys coming – actually I remember wondering with some fear if I’d get any comments. I didn’t see all the amazing brands I’ve worked with coming. And I sure as hell did not see any of the products I’ve created and launched off this blog coming.
It’s true what they say – The journey of a thousand miles definitely starts with a step.

When my blog turned 5 last year, somehow I managed to procrastinate my way into not putting up a post as tradition demands. So even though, I’m currently two days late with this post, I was pretty determined to put it out. Better late than never, right?
Someone asked me recently if I’ll ever stop blogging. I thought about it for a minute and you know what? I really can never say never.
This little ol’ space of mine has been a safe haven. I’ve literally grown up with/on this blog and shared my life – (wins and lessons) with Y’all over here and it has been an immense blessing to me in more ways than one. But lately, I’ve been embracing and understanding the “concept of seasons” and knowing when to let go, move on or just evolve as the season calls for.
I’m not sure if that time will come or how soon it will. But one thing is for sure, I genuinely enjoy blogging. Away from the razzmattaz, the page views or comments, I really love this space and I can confidently say that I’m back to the sweet spot/basics with blogging.

Of course, there’s going to be some heartfelt gratitude because I legit wouldn’t have made it this far without all your love. Without your audience. Without you spurring me on, encouraging me, cheering me on and just sticking with me through the years.
