I’m not one for trends – I think that what really matters in fashion isn’t what’s in vogue but what suits your style, but there are some trends that are so in tune with my aesthetics and tickle my fashion sensibilities in the right way that I just have to jump on the bandwagon or at least give it a try. The off shoulder trend was one of such trends and I sure did hop on that bandwagon – even did a three ways to style the trend post here.
Lately, there are a few trends that I’m loving. I haven’t hopped on any yet but I know that I would have if I weren’t such a lazy shopper. For now, I’m taking pleasure in digging up style inspiration and more ways to werk the trends when I eventually get to trying them out. I thought to share a few of these trends I’m currently loving and some style inspiration in the process.
1. The Fishnet Trend.
I already talked about my sheer pop socks and leggings obsession way back then. Sometimes I wonder why I ever stopped wearing them because they still look good when properly styled. My focus isn’t on sheer pop socks today, but on a similar but slightly different fashion item – the fishnets stockings.
I love how Mary of the Cocopolitan styled hers on her blog and ever since then, this trend has been popping up a lot on my Instagram feed. I particularly like it worn underneath ripped denim and in a peek a boo manner showing just a bit of net at the ankle.
2. Exaggerated | Statement Sleeves.
This trend is probably so last year but I love it! Bell sleeves and all that extra drama is one sure way to jazz up an outfit.
3. Pajamas Trend.

When I first realized that this was a thing, it made me happy because fashion for me is about trying new things confidently and not exactly about being “safe”. I’m yet to try this out because like I said I’ve been too lazy to go shop PJ’s but this is one trend, I would definitely love to play around with – even if just once.
4. Low Heeled Block Heels
The goody two shoes. The block heels is like the mom jeans of heels or at least that’s how I see it. I didn’t get enough pictures of the particular block heels trend I’m loving but it’s more of the first two pictures above than the last one. This trend popped up last year and I wasn’t sure if I loved it or hated it. I’ll admit that it isn’t exactly the prettiest of shoes and even borders towards awkward looking but it is different and gives off this “fashion personality” vibes that I dig. I guess all I’m saying is that I wouldn’t mind owning a pair.

I'm in love with low heeled block shoes at the moment as well! I remember seeing a pair I wanted back in December but I didn't buy it, only for me to go back in January and they were sold out. The pain ehn lol. The fishnet stockings under ripped jeans is so cool, I love it. Bell sleeves too in particular tickle my fancy. Great post Cassie. xx

I'm on the look out for low block heels, not really a fan of the pencil heel so I'm hoping on this wagon with joy. I love the pj's trend and the fish net trend is one I'm willing to try. I just haven't found the perfect outing plus I don't even have fishnets.

I'm not a fan of block heeled shoes, would rather go with pencil heels and flats although they are vey cute especially the pointees. That pajamas trend is one I wouldn't try, it's bad enough that I already feel sleepy every time LOL. I'm so digging the fishnet trend and I'm going to be rocking it a lot this year, it's so sexy and edgy!

I have to admit I am not a big fan of the fishnet trend especially when paired underneath ripped jeans, for me it just gives off an overly sexy vibe and not in a very good way. Athough I like how mary and the lady in the red skirt rocked this trend as the fishnet tights are more toned down look. I love the exxagerated sleeve trend and Ranti does an amazing Job styling it. And as you said the block heel trend is like the mom jeans but I like that its becoming trendy because those shoes are more practical and comfortable.

I definitely love the fish net trend and it's something I'll love to try out. Exaggerated sleeves can we say, are here to stay!!! The block heel shoes definitely look awkward and I'm not quite sure if they would look nice with my big feet. I feel shoes like those look better on people with smaller feet. The pajamas trend is cute but errr…

The block heeled pumps are so cuteee, would definitely rock those, and ah! I've loved fishnet tights since I can remember; it's one way to jazz up an otherwise plain outfit. Currently loving the off shoulder trend as well! Don't think I will be getting over that one anytime soon. There's something demure and sexy about showing off your décolletage.
The off shoulder trend. Ah,i was a huge fan of that one but the love has died down now. I feel like it got overflogged.
I love the low heeled block shoes. Maybe because I love things alittle bit out of the ordinary. And wearing the low block heeled shoes in a place like Ilorin where I live will definitely attract lot of hard stares and side comments. The fishnet socks under the mom ripped Jean is perfect too. And maybe if I own a fishnet stockings and a ripped Jean that perfect, I would have had a perfect life (Laughs Hysterically).

The block heel us my all-time style, as stilettos are not really my favourite kind of heel. I am very much into the sneaker trend..
It’s the exaggerated sleeves I so dig. I won’t mind owning a pair of the low block heels, all it needs is an awesome carriage.
