Every now and then when I’m feeling stuck in a style rut and can’t figure out what to wear, I always return back to the classics.
What classics? The white shirt and blue denim of course!
I can’t remember a time when the blue denim and white shirt wasn’t a part of my shopping list (because somehow I always ended up staining my white shirts beyond repair).
I blogged about my wardrobe essentials a short while back and it’s a no-brainer that these two style pieces made it to the list. The white shirt is a wardrobe staple that fits for every occasion and the denim pants, into every wardrobe regardless of age and style preference.

I wore this to the Hans and Rene store launch a few months ago. The plan was to look as casual as possible but still look stylish, so I decided to go the half tuck route with my shirt much to the dismay of my dad.haha
Since his comment on my style that went viral and my open letter addressing it here, I’ve become even less bothered about their opinions when it comes to my personal style.
To finish out the look, I settled for my brown tassel loafers and minimal accessorizing. I absolutely love how the pops of color from my bag, sunshades, and bracelet added all the extra jazz I needed to the outfit.

The white shirt is an essential – get an oversized long sleeve on like mine, get a short sleeved normal fit one to wear under dresses for a layered look
White shirt and cropped light blue jeans look awesome together. Love the mirrored sunglasses and the way you complete this outfit with a red shoulder bag and flats.
