I doubt if my love for bow ties will ever wane although i haven’t been wearing much of it of recent. Its approximately a year from today that i last put on a bow tie (in this post ) which is not too cool because i used to be a bow tie advocate for girls. Another thing i haven’t been wearing of recent too is headwraps, i used to be quite the turban queen. 2013! Ah good old fashion days. This year has found me a bit more conventional and less quirky which i can’t really explain how that happened. Old age?
Oh well, i finally decided to pull a “cassie daves” last week sunday and go full on androgyny. This also gave me the chance to bring out the bow tie to play. i got the waist coat as an early birthday gift last year from my sweet heart roommate, thank you mariam!
I’m starting my surgery posting today, it seems like just the other day i was talking about the beginning of the end of my med school journey and now i’m already in my third posting and even though this ongoing doctors strike is affecting our clinicals, i’m happy that we’ll still keep forging ahead regardless.
You can check out some of my previous outfit posts where i’m rocking a head wrap/ turban (and in different ways) :
–Its a wrap
–Another day, another pleat
– Vintage Pink

That waist coat is everything. love the preppy smart look, i would have added a pair of geeky glasses for an extra touch. WELL slayed.x
I know right?! And the first time I saw it, I honestly didn't think much of the waist coat till I actually tried incorporating it in an outfit! Yes to the geeky glasses! I took off mine because I didn't want to look like a nerd. The irony. Lol

I should really try something like this, you look so you and less like a med student. This is beautiful.

Dr. Cassandra, you have captured the spirit of style. I love the vest you're wearing in these pics. Your feminine grace transcends even this androgynous look.
Regarding Ebola, I pray for your safety. Physicians are like soldiers on the front line these days. I pray for your safety. Have no fear , God loves the brave. But do take every precaution.
