FLOWER POWER.

I still remember one of the first floral clothing I had. It was a yellow A line skirt that my mum had bought in different colours for my sister and I.
How I loved that skirt! I used to wear it to church every other sunday.

I’m not sure when I made the switch from cute floral A Line skirt loving girl but currently, floral prints aren’t exactly a huge part of my closet. So when the blogger point put out word that the theme to their blogger’s brunch would be “floral” , I wasn’t part of the excited people.

In true Cassandra fashion, I didn’t bother to think of what to wear till a few days before the event when I remembered that I had this floral dress I got from Grey last year (Remember Grey? I collaborated with them here) but it was really short, so I just stowed it away and never wore it.
I figured I could cut off the flared bit and sew it a little lower to make it wearable, so I did just that!
Decided to add a bit more funk by draping the denim jacket over my shoulders and my latest obsession, this sunnies I got from hautesignatures.
My plan was to wear it with either white sneakers or ankle strap heels but I spoilt my sneakers and haven’t replaced it, so I had to make do with flats instead.

Funny thing though! After the event, I realized that I actually have a bit of floral clothings I could have picked from. Although most aren’t the super big or crowded floral prints but the small understated type, which was probably why I never thought of them.

TO BLOOM & FLOURISH.

Speaking of flowers, these past few days I’ve been learning quite a bit about blooming where I’m planted. Med life isn’t really doing much for creative side and can be a bit stifling. Although, I don’t have a choice and I can’t exactly get out of this, I have decided to make the most out of it, because who knows how the lessons and experiences I would get here might come in handy in the future.

Sometimes we have to make the best of our situations and bloom where we have been planted, just like a flower growing from the cracks does.

What do you guys think?
