Outfit || Urban Chic For LFDW’16 (Day 3).

One of my favourite things to do when I’m bored or less busy (and sometimes when I’m not) is think up/mentally plan outfit combinations. So you can imagine that I already had my Lagos fashion and design week outfits mentally planned monthss back (and I mean like right after LFDW 2015). Lol!
The funny thing about this habit of mine though is that although I always have my “looks to shoot” page filled up, somehow I manage to still scamper around for what to wear last minute and make changes.

That was the case this year when it came to picking out what to wear to fashion week. I procrastinated trying out my looks because I didn’t think I was going to have my weekend free to actually attend the shows and when I eventually got around to doing that, I dumped all the outfit plans I made earlier and made new ones.
I put this new outfit together the morning of the show and It’s definitely one of those looks that made me feel quite proud and give myself a pat on the back.

But enough story, let’s see more of the outfit!

I took my own fashion week style tips with picking out my looks for this year’s LFDW. I’m totally all for comfort with some quirk and I tried to reflect just that with this look.

Like I shared in my cool kid style guide post – Simple hacks and tiny tweaks here and there can elevate an outfit and make you look instantly cooler.
I put all the hacks I shared in that post into play, so go check out the post HERE.
I started out by pairing this pink midi skater skirt I’ve styled previously here (in a very classy way, if I do say so myself) with a print top and built up on it adding some cool factor with the sunshades, face cap, sneakers and the coat slinging.

I can easily transition this look for work or church by taking off the face cap, sneakers and topping off with my white court shoes instead.
Maybe another post showing how I wear this look differently for church?

Till then though! What do you think of this look?
And let’s connect!

P.S – The second set of pictures were taking by the amazing super photographer – Kelechi Amadi Obi. He was shooting free portraits at LFDW and trust me not to dull in getting in line. The first set of pictures were taking majorly by photography @thefifographer and the collage set by @chyder5photographer.

P.P.S – I really wish I could pick everyone, especially for the red frames because I know how real the struggle to find nice frames is. Unfortunately, I can’t right now but let me just add here that I owe some people frames this christmas.

The Giveaway winners are !
–  Aramide For the red frames.
– Elsie for the blue sunshades.
