I’ve been about this mixed print life ever since this first style inspiration on
the trend and I don’t think I’m dropping it anytime soon. If you’ve been following me from way back, you must have seen some of my mixed prints looks but in case you missed it, I’ve styled the trend here, here, and here.
I think polka
dots and stripes are the “fail safe” prints to go for if you’re iffy
about trying it out, although in this post I’m pairing the same polka dot print but in different colors and size.
I’ve had this polka dot crop top thing forever and I haven’t ever worn
it out, mostly because the only things I could think of pairing it with
back then was blue shorts for a beach day out (which I haven’t had in
forever anyways) or pairing it with this high waisted midi black skirt I wore in this post but then that skirt isnt exactly the most comfortable because its a bit transparent, so I was really excited when i accidently discovered that my famous polka dot pleat skirt worked perfectly with it.
Finallyyyyy! Don’t you just love when you find a match for a piece of clothing?
Although after my initial elation, I was just wondering how I didn’t think of it before. haha
I wore this to church the other other sunday but with more accessories than this, I just forgot to put them in when I was packing the outfits up to shoot (on another day).
Unrelated but this morning I was going through some of my old posts (view here) and it hit me again how far I’ve come and how much changes/learning has taken place, It really wouldn’t have happened without you all that read my blog and leave me comments all the time so this is me saying thank you all so much for all the love and I truly appreciate you!

Neon Party
I know it can be a bit scary because you don't want to come out looking like somewhere a riot occured lol
So you can just start with stripes/dots. Check out some of previous mixed prints look too and you just might get some inspiration
Love the combination.. I'm usually skeptical about pairing prints tho..I'd try it out soon..
Hey Precious, please check my reply to Tomie up there and when you do try it out, don't forget to sharee! You can tag me on instagram @cassiedaves
It's kind of funny to me that I would have never even thought about pairing contrasting polka dot patterned pieces together. What a brilliant idea and a super cute result! You look beautiful, love that lip color on you boo <3
DENIM!!!! Or pencil skirt like you mentioned

This is a sophisticated look Cassandra. Black on white, and white on black. Accessorized with a red bangle on the right wrist matching your red lipstick. It's a clever combination. You always manage to look keen.
Mr B! Lol, thank youuu
Pair them with culottes!!! That would be extra chic.
Thanks for checking out the new site : -)

Ah, thanks baby girl
I love polka dots! and that top is everything. I have something similar and I would try it on a black fitted midi dress or I could just come steal yours. LOL.

Yes, it will work with a midi dress too, another way I planned to wear it except that I don't really like desses. Lol
But wumi, you like to covet people's stuff sha. Change ohh
Story ooo, I shall always covet your own stuff… they are too cool not to be coveted na. Please you have killer legs so the dress combo would be to die for.
Love dots.. They are my fave.. You look stunning..

This is a nice comfy way to mix prints, polkadots on polkadots. Anyways I love your skirt, seeing yours I'm so sad I left behind a similar pair in the market. As for future styling of this top how about wearing the top backwards or with a colorful mini-skater skirt, show off those legs girl.
Princess Audu
Yes girl!! This is a great suggestion.

I love clothes with polka dots yet own none. Smh. You look adorable love. I think that top would go with culottes or high waisted shorts, hair in a bun, big bangles, shades…you get my drift? Lol.

Who Says Black Ain't Fab
Love it! I would never have considered this but it looks so pretty. I'm definitely going to try this out 🙂
How about a straight maxi skirt with bold floral print? Preferrably with a slit. i love polka dot and florals. By bold, I mean big florals, not necessarily busy. love the lippie- pop of colour. Nice combo overall.
