Outfit || Styling The Denim Mini Skirt x Giveaway Winner.

If you had asked me if the denim mini skirt would be having a place in my closet again, I would have said No with the assurance that I would to those body-con dresses that everyone seems to be wearing (I’m too flat for them). I had enough of the denim mini skirt growing up and wanted to keep it that way.

I didn’t imagine that they would make a come back in the most fashionable way but here I am now writing a post all about my love for the denim mini skirt. Never say Never, Guys. And like every come-back trend that I happen to love, of course, I just had to jump on the band wagon myself.

One thing I like about the come back is the diversity. There’s a ton of denim mini skirt styles to rock now- button down, distressed, embroidery, wrap skirt, ruffle hem etc. I was looking particularly for the button down dark blue denim mini skirt (Because I’m a true blue fan when it comes to denim) but I ended up getting this light blue denim mini skirt instead.

I got this denim mini skirt from an online thrift store(@thethriftstoreng) and my initial thought was that I absolutely did not want to style it the cliche way with a white shirt, so I decided to go the layering way instead. Though I’m still technically wearing a white shirt (Yess, the same one from my last post of things I just can’t stop wearing) but I paired it with my mauve sweatshirt from this post for a different vibe.

Finished up the look with my big ass fro from nappy-haired, brown bag from the Lekki arts and crafts market and white court shoes from this haul post.

Next up on my denim skirt wish list is the straight denim midi skirt and the flared denim midi skirt. Have any connect for these? Please hook a sisteh up.
