A Walk Down Memory Lane.
Having a blog will forever be one of my finest decisions. There’s just something about being able to look back in time and retrace your steps. And visualize your progress or lack of. It’s gold and I don’t take it for granted.
The other day, I was randomly scrolling through my old blog posts. Reading old thoughts and reminiscing about old style faves and milestones. Like my first pair of boyfriend jeans and taking style risks like with this crazy fez hat period.

Going through my old style posts got me thinking about how my style has changed over time. In a very unintentional way because I didn’t quite see it happening, neither did I plan for it.
I’ve gone through an all-black phase, a retro print shirt, and vintage skirt phase, a total androgyny babe phase. But somehow, through it all one thing has managed to stay intact as evident from my posts over the years is my love for mixed prints and styling the trend.
Mixed Prints Life.
I still remember when I discovered that mixed prints was actually a thing in the fashion world. I did a whole post on how to rock the trend here and over the years I’ve styled the mixed prints trend on the blog here, here, and here. To mention a few.
When it comes to mixed prints, your safest bet is going with a similar color palette for both your top and bottom and I utilized this in picking out this look I wore to church a few weeks ago.

Hi Cassie, I always love reading your blog. I think the mixed print trend is worth every trial and even though it can get tricky when styling, it shouldn’t die yet. I love how you styled yours, wearing white shoes. I might just jump on the trend 😁
Aww thank you so much Chi! I’m glad to see another person that thinks it shouldn’t die yet. Infact I don’t mind if it remains a thing forever. I love it!
Definitely one of the perks of having a blog can go back and read old posts and see how far you’ve come and changed.
This look is really cute and i definitely need to get me a white shoe. So cute.
You’re glowing in all the pictures.

Thank you Bae!
my blog is like a safe heaven for my pictures. I revisit old pictures and that reminds me of how much I’ve grown.
styling mixed prints is quite a dicey one so I usually avoid it but with your tip on choosing similar pallets, I might just try again.
