Having a blog will forever be one of my finest decisions. There’s just something about being able to look back in time and retrace your steps. And visualize your progress or lack of. It’s gold and I don’t take it for granted.

The other day, I was randomly scrolling through my old blog posts. Reading old thoughts and reminiscing about old style faves and milestones. Like my first pair of boyfriend jeans and taking style risks like with this crazy fez hat period.

Going through my old style posts got me thinking about how my style has changed over time. In a very unintentional way because I didn’t quite see it happening, neither did I plan for it.

I’ve gone through an all-black phase, a retro print shirt, and vintage skirt phase, a total androgyny babe phase. But somehow, through it all one thing has managed to stay intact as evident from my posts over the years is my love for mixed prints and styling the trend.

I still remember when I discovered that mixed prints was actually a thing in the fashion world. I did a whole post on how to rock the trend here and over the years I’ve styled the mixed prints trend on the blog here, here, and here. To mention a few.

When it comes to mixed prints, your safest bet is going with a similar color palette for both your top and bottom and I utilized this in picking out this look I wore to church a few weeks ago.
