Now, I’m not a beauty expert and when it comes to makeup, its basically just touch and go for me. I’m mostly always bare faced and un-bothered. But if there’s one thing I hardly go without, its my eyeliner.
I came to this realization yesterday, because as you guessed, I decided to head back into the room, pull out my “makeup bag” and then proceeded to spend even more time trying to decide if to just let the eyeliner go for today and be totally and completely plain faced. The eyeliner won.
This mini obsession with having to draw a “cat-eye” every morning started back in my early university days from an insecurity.
I always hated my eyes – I thought that they were droopy and made me look sleepy and tired. So when I discovered the power of black lined eyes and how it somehow managed to make me look a bit more “awake”, I was hooked!
In case you’re wondering, no this isn’t a sponsored post and not an advertisement for the eyeliner. I picked up this eyeliner off a road seller. Its not a name brand and its definitely not the best out there, so I need recommendations!
I did a mini review on the zaron liquid liner here, which is definitely one of my faves and the only other one I’ve used anyways.
You would think that with all this my cat eye makeup game would be on fleek, but I barely have a pass in even that. Lol!
I know there are so many colours of eyeliners but I’ve been afraid to deviate from black. If you use any other colour and can swear by the effect it has on your eyes, please sharreeeee.

Mine is lipstick. Too basicc. But on days I don't feel like using it, I load up on Mascara. Eyeliner is cool but I've not perfected it's application. Not like I've really been trying. Lol @ the re-introduction

Yes mehn, mine would definitely be a lipstick! I'm stuck on Zaron eyeliners (both the felt-tip one and liquid one).

Lol. I'm so terrible I can do without everything. But if I must, it's eyepencil for the lower eyelids. Look pretty plain without it. And while I'm at it, I'll put some on the upper eyelids as well.

gel – Blot Beauty gel liner or Bobbi Brown gel pot
liquid – Zaron Felt tip Liner or NYC Liquid Liner

I got this herbal khol at eko market and that thing was so peppery. I thought the pain will stop after a while which it did, until I went outside. The sun was crazy and next thing I knew ters were coming down my eyes and I wasn't even crying.
People were looking at me in a strange way like I was heartbrokenor something. I just left the khol like salad, I can't be crying at random places because my khol won't behave.
For me, it's black eyeliner…my eyes are so humongous that if I don't line them, I feel I look somehow, such big eyes on little me…I love my gel liners, I think they win with the true black.. You should try them out, the inglot 77 gel liner or the Maybelline studio gel liner. For pencil, you should try the Maybelline colossal, it's super affordable too..#TeamBlackLinerForLife

I used to be utterly obsessed with eyeliners myself, so I still got major love for it
But of late, I've gone back to taking care of my favourite, my lips, the most.
I love lipliners — I hardly ever use lipstick (one of those blessed and at the same time, cursed, with great lips naturally, hehe) and I really love lipgloss, especially Victoria's Secret.

I love makeup, i can do without it (does white powder count as makeup? because i wear it on no-makeup days because of my oily face), but if i had to go with just one item, it has to be the black eyeliner. It makes all the difference to my face. All the difference.
And Cassie, if you can use liquid liners this neatly, then you are not so bad oh. Most non-makeup people usually go for the basic pencil.

Navy blue liners are great too, but black liners are my go-to typa eye makeup for a quick fix up anyday.

It's foundation for me. I have black spots sprinkled all over my face. Next is lip gloss or nude lipstick. I don't do anything to my brows.
