I’m one of those people that spend their weekends holed up indoors doing nothing in particular and wishing they had a more active social life (Plix epp me)
Early this month, I made a mental decision to change that after my exams and visit at least one new place every saturday/sunday or just get out more.
That also hasn’t be working out too well. However, this weekend I actually planned to get off and go have a life! My first/main port of call was the Redefining finance event by wana wana and Glory Edozien. I attended their first event ‘
redefining beauty’ and knew that I was definitely going to attend anything else they come up with but my weekend didn’t go as planned at all and I couldn’t leave home till evening and only because I had to run a ‘family errand’. I had to go deliver some things to my sister in law school and since I was already on the island, I decided to go and check out this Re.Le place everyone on my instagram seems to be raving about.
Re.Le is a an art gallery located in No. 5. Military street, Onikan. I’m not really all that big on arts but I love to look at them and I appreciate the beauty.
I think artists are everything that’s right in this ugly world and I so envy their talent!
I love the whole minimal look of the place and the signature wall just got me! Anyplace that let’s me scribble on their wall and leave my signature behind is my type of place. Lol
It is a small space though so if you plan to visit, I suggest you don’t make it your ‘main waka’ because if you’re like me, you might get around the whole place in less than an hour.
Sorry for the poor quality and small amount of pictures guys. It only just came to me this morning to start this new segment ‘weekend bits’ as a way to encourage myself to go out and experience my city. Also to share new places and finds with you guys!
So what were you guys up to this weekend?
Oh and what do you Love about Lagos?
I think I am obsessed with Re.le too too creative… Art Lover

I was just watching movies and also wishing i had a more active social life lool, but wen to the end of the year banquet of the african student association of my school on Sunday was pretty fun.
What i love about Lagos, i would say mama out lool but i love Anambra more.
Simply Uneeke
Loool! I'm from Anambra too and the place is definitely more serene than Lagos but nah, I love Lagos more mainly because of the opportunities and exposure. I doubt my blog will thrive this much if I was based in Anambra. Haha
I'm in love with the timeless variety, EVERYTHING can be found in Lagos, it's refreshing …
Everything? I still find it hard to find wide brimmed hats and some other fashion items oh -_-
lmaoo please who is that person that loves Enugu more??
LOL. This one is still good. Someone wrote he loves lagos because of the big booty girls (and he didn't put it in this nice and clean way)
Well, I managed to go to Glory's event. You missed o. A lot of great information and inspiration to look at your personal finances. See my post on it below

Lool. Nigerian parents and professional courses for their children.
Art is an expression of the soul and the imagination. I'm surprised that you are not more into the art scene. You strike me as a natural right brain thinker. Then again your a physician so I guess that puts you squarely in the realm of logical left brain thinking as well. Hmmm?
As for me I think of Lagos all the time. Even now as I type these words. I shall return.
Lol, no don't get it twisted. I appreciate art and I love going to galleries but I'm not a hard core art lover
I love the energy in Lagos!!! From the everyday hustle and bustle to the funny songs with even funnier dancesteps, everything about this city screams energy!!!
I've not been to Lagos before but I love Lagos because of the opportunities.Akwa Ibom is serene and cool but I prefer Lagos.

Posts like this make me wish I lived in Lagos or that Abuja had more of the creative scene. Oh well! I'm in full support of going out and exploring your city! Looking forward to see what other places you discover 🙂
Aniekeme for TFLA
The print on your shirt is Ah-mazing…Love it! I should visit this place o, not particularly an art lover, but maybe for the comments. Lol.
I was also at the redefining finances event, it was so enlightening. I intend to get out a lot more, work pretty much takes all of me and that has to change.
Lool. I totally get you and its allowed! I majorly just wanted to see this place and what all the hype was about.
Aww, it seems like everyone was at the event sha ! 🙁

the rave on instagram about this place tho….
i need to go see for my self.
I'm in the same situation; always indoors during the weekends feeling bored out of my mind. Great decision you've taken to go somewhere new each weekend. Wouldn't mind tagging along to these new places, I think it would be refreshing.
