Lagos Living || Re.Le

I’m one of those people that spend their weekends holed up indoors doing nothing in particular and wishing they had a more active social life (Plix epp me)
Early this month, I made a mental decision to change that after my exams and visit at least one new place every saturday/sunday or just get out more.
That also hasn’t be working out too well. However, this weekend I actually planned to get off and go have a life! My first/main port of call was the Redefining finance event by wana wana and Glory Edozien. I attended their first event ‘redefining beauty’ and knew that I was definitely going to attend anything else they come up with but my weekend didn’t go as planned at all and I couldn’t leave home till evening and only because I had to run a ‘family errand’. I had to go deliver some things to my sister in law school and since I was already on the island, I decided to go and check out this Re.Le place everyone on my instagram seems to be raving about.

Re.Le is a an art gallery located in No. 5. Military street, Onikan. I’m not really all that big on arts but I love to look at them and I appreciate the beauty.
I think artists are everything that’s right in this ugly world and I so envy their talent!
I love the whole minimal look of the place and the signature wall just got me! Anyplace that let’s me scribble on their wall and leave my signature behind is my type of place. Lol
It is a small space though so if you plan to visit, I suggest you don’t make it your ‘main waka’ because if you’re like me, you might get around the whole place in less than an hour.

Sorry for the poor quality and small amount of pictures guys. It only just came to me this morning to start this new segment ‘weekend bits’ as a way to encourage myself to go out and experience my city. Also to share new places and finds with you guys!

So what were you guys up to this weekend?
Oh and what do you Love about Lagos?
