I was going to do this month’s recap in a “taking stock” format because I felt April was just another month that went by without me achieving my set goals, so I didn’t really see the need to do this if I wasn’t reporting any major progress.
But in the spirit of celebrating every minor accomplishment though, I decided to just do it the normal way – sharing a few things in April, what I’m thankful for and lessons I learnt.
**********
– I got my first actual blog award this month!!!!! I mean a physical award and not the blog tags I usually get awarded with. I haven’t gotten it yet because I couldn’t make the event, but once its in my hands, best believe I’m doing a full post on that.
– I am way closer to organizing the chaos that’s in my head and this time its for real. I’ll be launching my blog services soon and this month served for major brainstorming and work.
– I finally got around to going to the dentist to complete my root canal therapy. It didn’t hurt as much as I expected.
– I read about six books this month, way more than I read the previous months (which was zero anyways). Its been so good just losing myself in a book once again, I almost forgot what it felt like for a minute there. Please send me books to read if you have (sandyva06@yahoo.com). Thank you!
– I got a bit confused about this whole love thing, but I’m working out the kinks (I think)
– I somehow managed to shoot just one outfit this month and it sucked major! Finding photographers is slowly becoming a problem in my life yet again.
I spent the major part of April indoors and it started getting to me at some point because I wasn’t getting any creative bursts, but in the midst of all that that I re learnt this :
– That you have to be intentional about whatever it is you want and it isn’t enough just saying you want to do this or that. What intentional steps are you taking towards it?
– That you are responsible for steering your life in the direction you want it to go.
– That sometimes all it takes is some good music or book to get you out of a mood
Writing these monthly recaps is turning out to be harder than I thought , but I’ll try to keep churning them out. I hope you enjoy reading them also.
I went through my posts from 2014/15 and I realized how much easier things were back then – in regards to the type of posts I produced and I could see from reading them that I was having fun blogging.
Not that I’m not having fun now, but I’m a bit more strategic with everything I put out now than before, (which in itself is a good thing and an evidence of growth) but I feel like bringing back a little bit more fun to this blog – what do you think?
P.P.S –
– My thoughts on journalling
– Blog tag | Being me
– Sometimes I feel plain too.
– Five things I’d tell my younger self.
– Quick read || Some beautiful little things.
April for me was one of the fastest month this year. Congratulations on your award and more to come. Strategic blogging! The truth about blogging that nobody told you about in the beginning.
January was the longest to me, all the other montha just zoomed off fast fast. So weird.

Hey baby girl, thank youuu! I can't wait to get it myself :').
How are you?
Congrats on your very first blog award! I'm so jealous of you right now because you read 6 books! I barely finished the book I started. *sigh* I've been so immersed in blogging, motherhood and things that finding time to read is like looking for a needle in a haystack. This month I hope to find a balance and read more.
April went well for me. I have chosen to focus on the things I accomplished rather that on the things I should have accomplished. Looking forward to a fantastic month of May.
Precious Core Blog
April was interesting for me.
I learnt the importance of being organised and waking up early.
I also learnt and I'm still learning how to manage a team.
I learnt to take advantage of opportunities that come my way.
I learnt that even if I'm not happy where I am, God put me there for a reason so there is something to gain from being there, it might be a new friendship, some inside information or knowledge that might not seem useful now but will be useful in the future.
I learnt that my plans/goals for my life might not be what God thinks is best at a certain time so I need to be patient.
I learnt the importance of rest and saying no to certain opportunities.
I learnt a lot

I always love reading your monthly recaps because they give me this sort of encouragement.πI can totally relate with the part about a good book or music to get one out of a bad mood. I also made some really bold intentional steps in April and I hope they turn out for the best.*fingers crossed* Thanks for sharing.

April was a great month, overall. There were down times, but still grateful. April was my birthday month, and I can say without a doubt, it was my best birthday yet. I usually don't do anything on my birthdays, because I'm always too busy thinking and end up feeling sad about life. This time, I made a choice to celebrate it and I did. It was awesome π
Yes to bringing more fun to the blog! I totally agree with you on this 'That sometimes all it takes is some good music or book to get you out of a mood' cos seems like I was always in a mood throughout April but I immersed myself in the fun&romantic novels I love to read and a whole lot of music. Congrats on your award girl, more to come IJN.
