Style || The Pixie Cut x Weekend Casual.

Though, I have a “hair and beauty‘ segment, I’ve only ever done a hair post once here. One of my hair styles to do this year was the pixie cut. It has actually been on my mind since last year but I can sometimes be a creature of habit and tend to always fall back to my trusted twists or box braids.
I finally decided to go a bit out of my comfort zone and went with the pixie cut you guys chose from me – remember I asked for your opinions in this post? See, I listen to you guys! Lol

I didn’t like it at first – actually still not a big fan of the hair. For some reason, I feel a bit awkward in it and was going to take it out at some point but I’ve gotten so much compliments that I’m slowly warming into it, so thanks guys!!

Like I mentioned in this post on the power of the extras in making an outfit , most times what takes an otherwise laid back outfit from just there to really cool is how well you can infuse your style into it and jazz it up with some extras. Also it’s not just about the outfit sometimes too, attitude comes ing to play too – wrote about this here.

I could have worn this sleeveless tee with the pants and flats/heels but I wanted to infuse a bit of me into the look and spice it up a bit so I added the touch of the pink blazer  (also styled here, here and here) draped over my shoulder and the white sneakers.

One of my pet peeves is seeing people wear full length pants with their sneakers ( when the leg of the pants is in continuity with the shoes) , I just feel it looks better when there’s a little bit of ankle skin showing and for that reason, I’m always rolling up my pants if its too long.
Asides from that, I think folding the leg of your pants also gives off a really cool vibe too.

I got this tee from my then room mate and I’ve styled it once here. I didn’t fall in love with it till recently and now I just can’t stop wearing it! It doesn’t hurt that its also perfect for our current weather.

This was what I wore out this past weekend, but before that, I also wore it some weekend ago in the past to the cinema except that I paired it with my white sandals from this post instead.
It later hit me afterwards how much better it would look with my white sneakers instead and I wanted to give that a try. It worked just like I visualized it would!

Shot this two days after with the rain trying to rain on our parade but my photographer was resillient lol. I ended up spoiling my shoes later on that same day so now I’m hunting for new white kicks *sigh*
