Inspiration || Five DIY Ways To Jazz Up Your Old Denim Pant.

NOT EXACTLY A DIY POST

Just some easy DIY ways you can spice up your old denim pants plus a bit style inspiration to boot

If you’re like me with a ton (okay not exactly a ton but you get the drift) of old denim pants that you’re not quite sure you’ll wear again because they’ve somehow lost their appeal, then you might want to keep reading.

1. Frayed Edges.

Last year, I saw a ton of frayed edge denim outfits on street style blogs. It was one denim trend that I was seriously digging and its so easy to DIY! Just take an old pair of straight leg jeans, cut off a few inches and let your washing machine do the rest of the work. It sends off a cool kid vibe while helping you get some wear out of long forgotten clothes. Win Win ey?

2. Released Hem.

Another denim trend that took the fashion world by storm last year with street style stars all trotting out in one is the released hem pant. I love the two toned style and cool vibes it also gives off. Like the name suggests, all you need to do is release the hems of your pants carefully.

3. Patch Work.

Patches were originally used to cover up holes but look how somewhere it turned around and also became a fashion trend. Just find a spare denim fabric in either a lighter or darker shade and sew it on, voila!

4. Distressed.

Distressing has been around from the get go, its one that I don’t see going away and it also serves as another DIY way to jazz up your denim pants.
I especially love the single rip at the knee type but for some reason, even with the numerous tutorials out there, I still somehow fail at distressing.

5. Lace Trimmings.
Not my favorite of the five but hey It also helps to elongate your jeans too so that’s a plus. Just insert some lace trimmings and you’re good to go.
You can also have a mix of DIYs. Just check out Julia Sarr Moss sporting both distressed, released hem with frayed edges all in one.
Cool stuff right?
Which is your favorite and which one will you be trying out soon? Want to suggest more DIYs? Share please!
