Weekend Bits And Things.

A FEW WEEKEND SNAPSHOTS.
Last weekend was my first weekend back in Lagos since Christmas and because I didn’t get to celebrate either that or the new year, my friend decided to take me out on saturday.
I woke up on saturday morning to the realization that I had nothing to wear – Most of my clothes were rumpled (PhCN hasn’t been kind to us here lately) and to top it off, my hair was a mess. After several long minutes of trying on different head gears, I about had it and jejely carried myself to my mum for her to braid my hair into two all back braids because no time and my Dad swears by the hairstyle everytime. As far back as I can remember, he has always been going on about how that’s the perfect style for me because it brings out my face well.
I believe him now, I loved it. Everyone did really and I’m considering making it with an attachment and carrying it for a while longer.

I finally shuffled out the door in the easiest thing – print shirt, denim pants and sandals (remember when I blogged about my everyday style? Or that other time here I said a print shirt is a life saver?  Yup).
We went to Road Chef which I still intend to do a review on and I thoroughly enjoyed myself so much that time flew by and I missed out on going for the Memkoh Meet up. Schuks

Oh did I mention that I got my 50mm lens wish?!! Remember how I included it in my last birthday wishlist and the previous one before that? Yasss.
I finally won one in a giveaway, thank you Grace! And Thank you Genevieve for calling my attention to the giveaway and everyone that helped to plead my case. You guys are the bestest.

We headed off to art twenty one ( I blogged about the last time I went there in an art meets style format here ) . They were having a new group exhibition which started since December and featured not just artists but designers as well. I love the art twenty one space so much but for some reason this time we weren’t allowed to take pictures with our camera #fail

On Sunday, I had to go pick up my sample blog planners ( have you ordered yours yet? If you’ll like to get it and start using it asap, you should! Get more details here ) and I met up with a friend there who gave me a lovely birthday present. How did I suddenly go from never having gifts to this person that gets gifts all wrapped up nicely and cute ehn? Loving it though!

I didn’t do any event hopping but I had a really nice and productive weekend

What did you get up to? Share!
