Now, we all know I’m a sneaker-head through and through.
Although I haven’t been able to add a couple of those dope ass nikes and all the other fancy sneakers I’ve been coveting , a girl has got to make do with what she has right? Right! And best believe I’ve been doing mine all the justice in the world.
Since its a thursday and we all know what thursday stands for in this digital world we live in now, yes?
Throw back thursday, of course!
So I decided to re-visit some of my looks in sneakers and make it into some sort of “style inspiration post” sharing five ways you can rock your own favourite sneakers!
Let’s dig in.
1. With A Dress.
Whether straight or not, sneakers goes well with a dress and is a good way to send off that vibe that you’re kind of into this fashion thing even if you’re not. I’m here for my fake it till we make it crew!
2. With A Skirt.
Mini, Awkward length midi or maxi, Yes please! It also works well with pleated skirts. I did that once here although the pictures were a bit grainy so I didn’t bother adding it to this round up but in case you want to have a look at it, you can click here.
3. With Shorts.
But of course right?! Break away from the normal expected denim shorts though. I keep preaching grandpa shorts – high waisted loose fitting shorts. They are the way to go, trust me on this. You can throw in socks to the mix to spice things up a bit.
4. With Cropped Pants.
Especially skinny cropped pants and not the really wide legged type (Although it could work too, it all depends on the person wearing it).
5. The Original Way – With Denim Pants.
For some reason, I really don’t dig wearing sneakers with full denim pants (both pencil and flared). I think it looks awkward and just off most times, that’s why I always roll up mine a bit or make sure to wear it with denim pants that just slightly graze my ankle.
