Outfit || Never second guess yourself/style

Embrace what makes you unique even if it makes others uncomfortable- janelle monae

Lately, I’ve been feeling a bit conflicted. People keep telling me to wear more dresses (even if its just subtle hints here and there) and be a bit more feminine.

I just had to take a step back and remember that I dress for me, and that feeling comfortable in my own skin and outfits is more important than any opinion anyone else has. I understand what style means to me and I can’t expect other people to flow with me.

Maybe with time, I’ll transition to that elegant lady most people want me to be. Maybe! And when that transition happens, I want it to be because I decided to let that happen.

I love Fashion but I love creativity even more and I like to let that show in my outfits.
Really, a girl’s just trying to get someone to help her take good pictures. Everyone I’ve been giving my camera to help me take pictures of late have been producing blurry ass pictures for me but where is the choice that I’ve got huh? Thank you Tracy and Remy (._.)

I look so dark and like a mess in most of these pictures but oh whatever.
Wore this to a fashion show i had recently (which i’ll be blogging about pretty soon so watch this space B-). Remember my boyfriend jeans from my Girls will be boys post? Yurr, i’m still finding new ways to rock it.

“You can dream something all the way through and what happens with your
creativity is it gets blocked by what society says you should do. You
always over think yourself. Criticism will bother you but you should be
more bothered if there’s no criticism. That means you’re too safe and
nobody cares. They feel invested in a way, like I have a responsibility
to them. At the end of the day, I only have responsibility for myself.”
