I started blogging some three years plus ago and it has been a life changing experience for me. Both in major ways which I talked about in this post here and in other minor little ways that have been ingrained within my lifestyle without me even realizing.
So I thought to share a few of these little things that unite us as bloggers and that you’ve probably also experienced and can relate with if you’re one.
Some of these might be more relatable for style bloggers but please feel free to add your own experience based on your niche in the comments.
1. Photographers become your best friends at every event.
2. You decide to go out/for an event just so you can have something to blog about and because heck its another chance to dress up and take blog pictures.
3. You carry your camera memory card around with you because you just never know when it will come in handy.
4. Someone asks you how your job search (or another life event) is going and you point them to the post where you already talked extensively about it.
5. You see blog post potentials out of every conversation and sometimes the words/opening statement for the post come at awkward times like when you’re in the bathroom
6. You have a note book to jot your blog thoughts, goals and post ideas. That might as well be a blog planner and the cassie daves blogger is still up for sale, get yours HERE.
7. You’re constantly on the look out for shoot locations.
8. You see a brightly coloured wall and the first thing that comes to your mind is how that will make a good location to take blog pictures.
9. Words like flat lays , swatches, reviews have invaded your dictionary and become a prominent part of it.
10. Your friends know better than to start eating before you’ve gotten a good shot of the food.
11. You’re constantly asking people to follow you on one platform or the other and subscribe to your blog. Pssst! Subscribe to mine though! HERE!
12. You wake up and the first thing you do is check for new comments.
13. Even the tiniest blog milestone calls for another celebration and #Thankful type tweet or post
14. People introduce you as their ‘blogger friend.
15. You stay up really late just to edit pictures, write posts and schedule things for the blog.
Just gonna roll my eyes. Lol.
Can't relate to the swatches, reviews and fashion/ style related post. But yes, ideas pop up in the shower and I have a notebook, and my Cassie Daves blog planner is getting to me this week! Whoop.
Even the Husband has mentioned that he has to now get used to this blogger side of me. (3 months now).
You forgot to include embedding your links on other blogs. Argh. Someone needs to teach me how to embed links.
And while at it, my blog is http://www.KacheeTee.com
Lol.
Whoop! Finalllyyyy you'll be joining the blog planner gang!
Ah yes! That's totally true and a very key one too. Lool
I'm so familiar with the words- review, swatches and flat lay pictures. Anytime, I see sunshine, I'm like perfect light for a YouTube video. If I read a comment, I'm super happy. Before I became a blogger, I used to be a silent reader on many blogs. I read blogs a lot but won't comment. Now, I see why bloggers like comments. It's a way of engaging with readers. No one wants to be talking with no response.
http://www.tunrayosthoughts.com
Yesss! Comments are everything for a blogger lol. I can't really relate with the YouTube one but I can just imagine!
Indeed, bloggers are observant, with their eyes and thoughts constantly roaming. Lol
For me, there are times when I see the most random things, or even have random conversations with people and afterwards I'm inspired to write about it.
Take for example, yesterday while driving in traffic, a middle-aged man was selling skipping ropes on the road and he tried to persuade me to buy, I cheerfully told him I didn't have enough cash on me. He said kindly "Don't worry, God will provide money for you" and with a big smile walked away.
I was moved by his compassion. It gave me an idea for a topic that I will gradually flesh out into a well-worded post.
Have a lovely weekend. 🙂
Lol. Nedu you are the queen of turning daily life experiences into blog posts and you do it so well! I'm just here waiting on this new one.

I totally relate to all except N0.13, i need to celebrate milestones more than just blog anniversaries. I always just tell myself that i have a long way to go and blog goals to achieve hence i can celebrate when i've gotten my blog to where i want it to be, lol
Modavracha | Fashion and Lifestyle Blog
I think it's important to celebrate even the smallest victories. It doesn't have to be a major celebration though. But I also relate with where you're coming from
I can totally relate with number 5 downwards..for me I'm constantly checking the dictionary and Google for words just so I don't make any blunders, we don't want people running away now do we? Nice post👌
Haha! No we definitely don't!
Thanks for reading Ara
I can relate to soooooo many of them especially that food one, my dad has even started taken pictures of food he eats at restaurants and sending them to me 🙂
Directing people to blogposts is easier than typing one long story sometimes, hehehe

Ha Ha. Sharp guy!
I totally agree with 7. Whenever I am on the move, I am looking for potential spots to take a photoshoot for my blog. And I even take a pic of it just to remind myself. The other one I can totally relate to is checking comments lol. besides instagram, I check for new comments on my blog. All in all I absolutely love blogging.x
http://www.stephylately.com
The main reason I created my blog is so I do not have to repeat myself a million times. People always ask me about hair and I say the same story over and over. No more of that for me. I just refer them to my blog and if it is a topic I have not talked about I tell them to watch out for it because it is probably in my draft somewhere. Def can relate to you #4

Yes times 14!
Number 1 for me would be: Your significant other automatically becomes your photographer and woe betide them if they don't brush up their skills :p
Berry Dakara Blog
Lol checking for comments when you wake up. That's so me.

Hehehehe being a blogger can be really funny and interesting. I can relate with most of these but not 1 and 2.I was down with cold yesterday and I still stayed up late to put up a post. Nice interesting post 👌👌

I can relate to almost everything especially how indirect people to my blog when they ask about my makeup. Pls someone teach how to embed blog links like Kacheetee asked.

Hahaha I can relate so much. Your mind becomes wired to great shoot spots and blog posts idea, and reading this post just gave me a future post idea. lol
http://www.rshanphonsi.com
I can totally relate with all of them, especially the shoot location and awkward posts in your head and constantly having to type the ideas in your head out, which can be quite difficult.
http://www.moonwalkertalks.blogspot.com
You forgot constant battle with network *smh* can definitely relate to some of them.
Itsdivadiaries.com
Hahahahaaaa you forgot painstakingly perfecting your make-up for a shoot that will last for like 20 minutes and then cleaning your face right after.
*Shaking my head* blogging is hard!!!
http://www.mhissnanastyle.com

http://depreciationsociety.blogspot.com
ahhhhhhahaaaa… that food part got me. and yh, looking out for shoot locations; my eyes literally pop out when I see a useable one I can feature
Can definitely relate to almost everything on your list. Another one is you buy clothes just so you can blog about it lol.
http://www.meilifisayo.com
Me I don’t buy clothes just to blog about it ooo or maybe I’m just too broke lmao
First, I love your blog, I always come to read your posts every once in a while and yes, I can totally relate to so many of these points. 15,13 and 12 made me smile, I was actually shocked at how similar we all are.
I can so relate, definitely.
LOL. I am a baby blogger. I have decided to take blogging seriously this year. The comment about celebrating every mile stone I could really relate to!!! I am currently on £0.78 on my adsense and I know it will go up to £1 this month thats like #500 but come and see the way I have been testifying about this small change! Hahahahah I am so grateful because I did not expect 1 kobo! But it goes to show that there is a lot of potential with blogging and I am humbled and I will remember my small beginnings. I know God willing my £1 will have a few zeros behind it one day 😀
http://www.raetalks.co.uk
Lmaoo I can relate with all 😂😂😂 this atruggle is real.
I can so relate with every single point here. Lol #TheBloggerLife

Lmao! Everything here is so relatable especially 2, 7 and 8!
5, 6 and 15! Aaaargh!
http://www.emetelivin.com.ng/?m=1
I’m going to sound pretty cool and say I’m here from the future lol! I can pretty much relate to everything on the list except to going to events and carrying a camera memory card. The random popping of ideas is everything and if you don’t jot it down, that’s it. So now I can proudly say I’m a blogger without even mincing words.
