First off, I want to say thank you all so so much for the birthday wishes.
I honestly didn’t “have fun” like you all told me to do but that’s okay.
I did have a nicer day the next day though (thanks to my new friend Dr Williams!) and heyy my darling Sogie just sent me a copy of girl boss from my wishlist! I never experredit, Thanks girl!
Sooo, on to today’s post.
Compared to the normal every weekend wedding some people I know are accustomed to, I’ve only attended three weddings this year.
I know, I know *gasps*
I’m not sure if its because I’m semi antisocial, I just don’t have a large circle of friends or ….
Yeah, I’m pretty sure that’s it.
Anyways, so when my classmate was getting married and as per usual – I didn’t buy asoebi, I had to put together something presentable to wear to the wedding seeing as my wardrobe doesn’t exactly contain lots of ‘classy dresses and formal event appropriate outfits ‘ (This is something I need to change soon though).
I toiled with the idea of sewing something but procrastination and I finally had to come up with something from my wardrobe.
It took me back to also trying to figure out what to wear to my final year dinner from my closet and the solution I came up with back then.
What solution? Separates! I.e a top and a bottom.
Full skirts just like flared pants are really a must have and come in handy as an alternative to a dress in some formal event settings.
I got this skirt on a whim and I’m glad I did. Its really pretty and I already have different pairings for it.
I decided to pair it with this spaghetti strap top and throw in some gold accessories to spice it up.
You’re probably wondering why I have two different set of pictures right?
Well, I took part in a wedding themed video shoot sometime early this month and I was an extra playing the role of ‘wedding guest’. I didn’t think twice in repeating this look for the video. Hehe
I was just looking at the shirt and rings, didnt even notice they were different pictures. Jeeezz I love your style. I'm gonna give you a big hug when ever I see you lol. I love the whole look and those rings, I want *sobs*//

Aww thank youuu!!
Very cute, and at least you had some near-birthday fun.
Maybe you haven't been to that many weddings because your friends/age bracket aren't getting married just yet. Give it two or three years and you'll be sick of weddings.

My classmates seem to go for weddings every weekend! We are the same age bracket oh. Lol
I just don't know that much people but yes I agree, at least in two/three years – my sister and cousins should get married. :')
Thanks Berry
Haha! Good to know I'm not the only one that never buys Aso Ebi. Money cannot waste lol! I love your choice of outfit hun.

I love the skirt Cassie, it's so girl and a definite must-have. This look is something I would totally wear. As for weddings I haven't been to one in over 3 years so you're definitely doing better then me.

Yours is 3..mine is none..i haven't attended any wedding this year…okay, one oh, in Ekiti, but I just tagged along cuz I wanted to see how Yoruba's celebrated weddings in my PPA state not cuz I was really interested in going to "jolly".
