Cassie Daves Blog Planner : A Look Behind The Scenes.

I always find it fun to see the behind the scenes of finished products, to see how things are made – the thought process and work that went into it. So I decided to also share with you guys a bit of the behind the scenes and process of packaging/branding for the Cassie Daves blog planner.

I already talked about the idea behind the planner/why I created it and you can read that here.

I love to infuse a bit of creativity into everything I do so I already knew that I wanted it all packaged and wrapped up nicely with little personalized bits included also.
I probably browsed through a hundred gift wrapping pages during the days prior to completing the first batch of the planners.
My initial idea was to wrap it up in a black, white or brown wrapping paper with the bow, include a personalized tag and insert a thank you card inside but when I happened upon and tried this yellow, there was no going back! I loved how bright and fun it looked.

I designed the thank you card using canva (I mentioned this in my top blogging sites/tools post here) after a longgg day at my friend’s work place – she graciously offered to help my situation by inviting me over to use her laptop (which was extremely slow omg! But I’m not complaining *side eye*) to complete a CV I was working on and I managed to create my thank you cards instead.
Though the printer didn’t print the cards out in the right size I intended, it worked still and I ended up using them tags instead. It helped that the inner side was blank so I could still write a note inside.

I also decided to include a “what’s inside” guide as a sort of informal “table of contents” so the users can have a general scope of the pages.

I spent close to two hours wrapping them all up but I really enjoyed doing it and I think the end result speaks for itself too.

What do you guys think about the packaging and design?

There’s a testimonial page up if you’ll like to see what people think about the planner.  Also, the second batch is finally ready and fast selling out so if you’ll like to get yours, I’ll advise you place your order ASAP!
