I’ve never actually kept a diary, just tidbits of my life here and there. The idea of getting one and chronicling my life events came to me randomly on thursday and I impressed myself by actually going for it and not letting it die as just an idea. So, i went out and got myself a journal. Picking out a book wasn’t as hard as I envisioned (guys seriously I can be indecisive over little things) although I have to give it to the guy at the bookshop for patiently going through journals with me till I made a choice. I was looking for something not too small, not too big and not too girly (Never too girly! Never! 😐 ). This book was just the right size and looked practical enough so i ended up leaving with it.
I got the book from the patabah bookstore in the mall at surulere. Of course I lingered for a while after paying to check out the other books they have. I was tempted to leave with dike ogu’s ‘on my way to azure shores” but that wasn’t part of my budget so I had to content myself with just looking with the mindset of coming back again for it. If you’re a book lover and you live in surulere, go check them out!
I’m already scribbling away in my journal and i hope i keep up with it. Wouldnt it just be cool to someday pick it up again in the future to relieve past memories?.
Yes I have 6 journals and I'm about to start the 7th!
I love recording my daily activities ad trust me going back to read older ones feels so good sometimes and sometimes i'd be like Naah this didnt happen or did I really write that… etc

I have lots of journals. Okay, not journals journals per say.. I just have a number of books where I write down things, and I write down things a lot.

Your journal's so cute! I love journaling, I think it's a beautiful way to cleanse your spirit especially when done daily. You become very self aware and able to let go of a lot of things. I haven't been as loyal to it lately as I have in the past but I think I'll get back to it 🙂
I kept a diary when I was much younger, but found that once I had a life…journaling my thoughts, feelings, etc became a task and a half lol

A long time ago in my Secondary School/J.A.M.B days, i kept a diary… now i just have several notebooks where i write down various stuff. It's a good practice to have, even if it's not the structured everyday chronicle type of journaling.
Plus, i have SUCH A HUGE THING for stationery! the crisper and odder they are, the more i love them. I actually have a decent-sized collection of notepads, pencils and biros, both used and unused. Like, folks who know me would give me gifts of stationery on special occasions like birthdays and such..
